BGE DemonBall IFL Match 5 - Feb. 03, 1999

OK sports fans, here we are once again at the beautiful old United Center in Chi-Town bringing you the fifth un-official IFL match of the year. This DemonBall match is being brought to you by MicroTel, Tomorrow’s information Today!

OK, today’s match is between the same four teams in Chi-Town’s first amateur DemonBall league. MicroTel has not yet heard from the IFL sanctioning board yet, so this is still an un-official IFL game. But, what the heck, the fans still love the blood shed!

Once again we have Bobbie Sue’s Belles, the Vengequan team called Crying Wind, those Good ole boys from Tenn. the Red Dawn, and our sponsors team The MicroTel Marauders.

So it looks like our teams are all set, and there’s the gun.

Crying Wind comes out fast, moving towards the ball, they are currently in last place and it looks like they are determined to get some points today. OK, the Marauders are on the move, everyone is being cautious, and what’s that? A net has fallen over the MicroTel team just as they come out into the arena. They’re struggling but can’t break free, and there goes the boys, being very careful, and Billy Bob looks to take advantage of the netted Marauders, he fires and down goes Pvt. Johnson. First blood to Red Dawn! Now Red jumps out, and tries to pick of another Marauder but misses trooper Biltmore who returns the fire from beneath the net to take ole’ Red out of the came! And now Bobbie Sue brings her girls in, not too far, and they are set up looking for Vengequan blood!

On the move again is Red Dawn, and now Billy Bob is going after another trooper, but he misses Pvt. Loomis, who is still in the net. But trooper Loomis has Billy Bob dead away and burns a hole right through Billy’s neck. Crying wind has found themselves pretty well covered by Bobbie Sue’s girls, and only two braves advance toward the ball. Pvt. Loomis breaks out of the net, but look out! Another net falls over the MicroTel team, Pvt. Biltmore breaks out with his vibroknife, and so does Loomis. Bobby Sue is keeping her girls in place, she really has the Vengequan pinned, and looks like she also the approach to the ball covered pretty good too!

Not much happening, Bobbie Sue has two braves and one Marauder effectively pinned! The two remaining Red Dawn boys try to sneak a little closer to the Vengequan. MicroTel breaks out of the net, and moves a little closer to the ball in plain sight of Jimmy “M”, but they are not shooting. Hmmm, maybe another alliance, no... wait, Jimmy “M” is calling for a MicroTel alliance, but it looks like Sgt. Phemus isn’t interested by the display of his middle finger!

Everybody is trying to get into a better position, but the belles have the Vengequan pinned. Two braves can’t move, and the other two are right in the girls sights if they go for the ball. The two remaining members of Red Dawn get a little closer to the braves that want the ball. Jimmy “M” reaches around the corner and shoots at Cloudy Waters and the shot goes wide, but Cloudy Waters was waiting for him and nails him in the belly! Now Vernin is going to try and get revenge for Jimmy, and he misses too! Wait a minute, Cindy Sue takes a shot from across the arena and misses Little Bear. Loomis runs out, taking advantage of all the firing and tries to get Mary Jo, but falls short. Mary Jo fires from the hip and gets Loomis in the chest. Now Biltmore fires his laser rifle at Mary Jo, and he’s short also! Look out, a net falls over Vernin, but that chain saw makes short work of that net and he’s out. Trooper Biltmore comes out firing at Cloudy Waters and misses at point blank range, he runs back for cover. Soaring Eagle runs over to take revenge but turns and fires at Vernin before he can duck and down he goes! That puts Red Dawn out of the match with no points scored. And now Little Bear tries a tough shot at Sgt. Phemus and misses. Look out, Bobby Sue has moved and fires at Little Bear and takes him out of the match.

Another net drops, holding Cindy Sue and Jessie May, Mary Jo and Bobby Sue break free and Bobby Sue is taking another shot at the Vengequan and she misses Soaring Eagle. Sgt. Phemus takes a try at Soaring Eagle and he gets his man! Stinking Forest makes a run for it, firing from the hip and misses Jessie May. Cindy Sue is out for blood, but misses Stinking Forest.

Pvt. Biltmore jumps a wall and fires at Soaring Eagle. He misses but grabs the ball and falls back, trying for the hand-off, but Soaring Eagle has him in his sights before the sarge can get there!

Stinking Forest moves out and pops off a quick burst to take Sgt. Phemus and MicroTel out of the match. Bobby Sue is sprinting towards the ball, she fires as she runs and down goes Soaring Eagle. Cindy Sue moves up to cover Bobby Sue, she’s got Cloudy Waters in her sights and nail him real good!

Now Bobby Sue and Cindy Sue run out together, covering each other as they make their run for the ball. Stinking Forest fires and Cindy Sue takes the shot for Bobby Sue, Cindy’s down and Bobby sprints to the ball and gets it! Whoa, what a sacrifice that was, and what perfect covering that was by the belles.

Now the chase is on, Bobby Sue trying to stay ahead of Stinking Forest. Jessie May trying to keep up and provide cover. She overruns the wall and presents Stinking Forest with a clear shot that he just doesn’t miss.

It looks like Stinking Forest has the angle on Bobby Sue, he stops, raises his rifle and fires. Bobby Sue spins, firing off a quick burst and they both go down. WOW! what a way to end the match with a simultaneous kill! Great action right here folks.

So in recap, MicroTel earns 1 point for a possession, Red Dawn earns zero, Bobbie Sue’s Belles earns 4 for possessions, and 1 point for sharing in the surviving team, and lastly Crying Wind gets 1 point for sharing in the match survivor. So here is a look at the standings after five matches. One more to go before the finals, and it looks as if Bobby Sue’s Belles has a lock on being in the championship game. Stay tuned folks, as second place is still up for grabs, it’s anybody’s choice.

So here is the league standings after 5 matches.

Bobbie Sue’s Belles:13 pts
MicroTel Marauders:10 pts
Red Dawn:8 pts
Crying Wind:6 pts
