BGE DemonBall IFL Match 4 - Jan 27, 1999
OK sports fans, here we are once again at the beautiful old United Center in Chi-Town bringing you the third un-official IFL match of the year. This DemonBall match is being brought to you by MicroTel, Tomorrow’s information Today!
OK, today’s match is between the same four teams in Chi-Town’s first amateur DemonBall league. MicroTel has not yet heard from the IFL sanctioning board yet, so this is still an un-official IFL game. But what the heck, the fans still love the blood shed!
Once again we have Bobbie Sue’s Belles, the Vengequan team called Crying Wind, those Good ole boys from Tenn. the Red Dawn, and our sponsors team The MicroTel Marauders.
So it looks like our teams are all set, and there’s the gun.
Red Dawn moves out first, they’re setting themselves up in the middle, kind of close to the belles. This is either a tactical blunder, or we have ourselves alliance between the boys and the belles. All righty, here comes Bobby Sue, and yes, we definitely have an alliance, the belles and boys are looking and smiling at each other. Vengequan are moving and getting set up, and there goes MicroTel.
Crying wind comes out and gets set up and there goes Cloudy Waters, he takes a shot at Mary Jo, it’s a long shot, Mary Jo returns fire and oh.. they’re both down. There’s our first blood, and look out, someone in the crowd has a gun, they’re firing at the boys and belles. Wow! That was close, security has them in custody, and no player were hurt. The Vengequan are still moving, now it’s Stinking Forest, he fires and Jessie May of the belles, and she takes it in her gut. Soaring Eagle has Billy Bob in his sights but misses, Billy Bob returns the shot and takes out Soaring Eagle.
Red Dawn is making their move for the ball, getting their men up closer. Bobbie Sue and Cindy Sue keeping cover for them. MicroTel is on the move, they get into position and Pvt. Johnson blasts Stinking Forest. Jimmy ‘M’ makes a move for the ball, he’s got it, but look out.. Pvt. Biltmore fires at him, but Jimmy dodges out of the way.
Red is moving for a shot, he comes out from the wall and fires from the hip at Sgt. Phemus but misses, he heads back for cover. Now Vernin is giving it a try, he takes his time and he gets Pvt. Loomis in the chest. Loomis fires as he falls and nails Vernin in the belly. Jimmy ‘M’ takes a hard shot at the sarge and misses. Look out, there goes the alliance, Cindy Sue is shooting at Red in the back, he spins at the last second, he’s hit and his shot goes wide. Now Bobby Sue has her sights set on Billy Bob, she misses!
The troopers are determined to get that ball, Sgt. Phemus pops out and takes a shot at our ball carrier Jimmy ‘M’ and misses. Now trooper Biltmore tries his luck with the same result, Jimmy is just too hard a target to hit. Pvt. Johnson give it his best and he too misses. What a string of missed shots, I have never seen that many shots miss at the same player. Look out, the sarge is charging Jimmy, he’s got his Vibrosword out, but Jimmy parries the shot with his Ka-Bar.
Billy Bob is coming up to give Jimmy a hand, but Jimmy tries to drive his Ka-Bar home, but Phemus brushes it aside with his sword. Billy Bob gets in a shot and Phemus is down. Looks like Jimmy is in the free now. But here comes Bobby Sue, she hits Billy Bob in the back. And now Cindy Sue goes for Jimmy, but his luck still hold and he ducks the shot. Lurking behind the walls, Pvt. Johnson runs out and gets a clean shot at Jimmy ‘ M’. And there goes Jimmy’s luck, right through the forehead, down he goes and the ball is loose. Trooper Biltmore runs out and gets the ball!
Bobby Sue is moving to get a better shot, Cindy Sue mirrors her movements. MicroTel is on the run, Biltmore has made it to the wall. Cindy Sue opens up and nails Pvt. Johnson in the chest. The chase is on.
Trooper Biltmore has no where to go, he’s staying put, no he’s making a mad rush for the goal. Bobby Sue calmly raises her gun and blasts the trooper right between the shoulders. Wow, what a match, both Bobby Sue and Cindy Sue are left, but the ball is on the ground where Pvt. Biltmore lies in a pool of blood.
So in recap, MicroTel earns 3 points for possessions, Red Dawn adds 3 points for possessions, and Bobbie Sue’s Belles earns 2 points for being the surviving team. So here is a look at the standings after four matches. Two more to go before the playoffs.
