BGE DemonBall IFL Match 1 - Dec 8
Ok sports fans, here we are at the beautiful old United Center in Chi-Town bringing you the first IFL match of the year. This DemonBall match is being brought to you by MicroTel, Tomorrow’s information Today!
All righty, today’s match is between the first four teams to be organized in Chi-Town’s first amateur DemonBall league. MicroTel has applied for official sanctioning, but they are a greedy bunch, and had to start raking in the money. The fans wanted it, so we are here to bring it to you.
The teams are getting ready, so let’s take a look. We have Bobbie Sue’s Belles, will ya look at those guns. Its a wonder they can carry them and actually it the right side of a barn with them. Well we’ll just have to see. Then there is the Crying Wind Vengequan team, boy those guys look fast. And let’s not forget those Good ole boys from Tenn. the Red Dawn. Last but not least, our sponsors team The MicroTel Marauders.
So it looks like our teams are all set, and there’s the gun.
Bobbie Sue leads her girls out from their gate, being very cautious. Now Sgt. Phemus leads his spit and shine troopers out of their gate, positioning themselves for an attack on the boys from Red Dawn. The Red Dawn come out of their gate, and set up waiting for the Vengequan to come into target.
Oh no, there seems to be some sort of commotion out on the field. Yes it looks like some of the crowd has managed to sneak in some weapons and are shooting at the players. They really have the Red Dawn pinned down out there, those poor boys. Well the security seems to have taken control again, so now the Crying Wind are coming out, and it looks like trouble for the Red Dawn. After that battle with the crowd, it seems that two of their members are out in the open, and those Vengequan have made quick work of those boys. All that’s left is Billy Bob and Jimmy ‘M’. Tough break. Now those Vengequan are moving on the Belles. Look out, ohhh, poor Cindy Sue. That really most have hurt.
Well now, the Crying Wind are moving themselves into some safety behind that wall, they really have a nice line of sight to those boys of Red Dawn. They are not leaving them much room at all. Sgt. Phemus moves his men closer to the ball. It looks like they are determined to get that first score. Bobbie Sue is mad, she moves her belles out and into position, she wants Vengequan blood! Mary Jo moves out, she takes aim and .. ouch! Down goes Stinking Forest. But it she has made a fatal mistake, Mary Jo is all alone, out pops Little Bear and Mary Jo is hit, she fires as she goes down, but misses badly. Oh too bad.
Bobbie Sue moves out, takes aim, and down goes trooper Biltmore. Wait a minute, Billy Bob has just come out from around a wall a takes a shot.... oh he misses Soaring Eagle, but he quickly gets a shot off too, but,.... it’s a miss. Now Jimmy ‘M’ is trying the same shot and,... another miss.
Sgt. Phemus gets his men ready, and they’ve got the ball, a quick pass and the ball is behind the wall. Soaring Eagle runs out, takes a shot and down goes trooper Loomis. Little Bear runs out, he’s got his sights set on Jessie May,... and she’s down, but wait, she managed to get off a shot as she fell and Little Bear is down also. Bobbie Sue is all alone now! Oh no, the crowd is shooting again. Boy, these folks are really blood thirsty here, security is on the spot, and things have quieted down.
Bobbie Sue is pissed! She’s out, she fires, and down goes Cloudy Waters. This game is intense. Billy Bob is running, oh no look out! Around the wall he goes, face to face with Sgt. Phemus, they both shoot. And they both go down. The ball is loose, Jimmy ‘M’ makes a run, but comes up short, too much gun fire, he can’t quite make it.
Bobbie Sue pops out and gets a shot off at Trooper Johnson, he’s hit. He’s down on one knee, he fires, ohh he misses and falls to his face. Well now, here we are, Bobbie Sue, Jimmy ‘M’ and Soaring Eagle.
Bobbie Sue runs out, and makes a quick grab for the ball and she’s got it! She gets herself back behind the wall before Jimmy ‘M’ gets off a shot. Soaring Eagle is on the run, oh no he’s behind Jimmy ‘M’, he fires, and down goes Jimmy. Folks, we now have a one on one.
Vengequan against Belle. Bobbie Sue runs around a wall and waits. Soaring Eagle jumps out and fires, Bobbie Sue fires. I’m not sure what’s happening, they’re both just standing there looking at each other. Oh boy, now I see it, they have both been hit folks. There they go, they are both down! Unbelievable, we have a draw. wow! that was quite a match.
Well, here is the quick wrap up. The MicroTel Marauders managed to get 4 possessions of the ball for 4 points. The Belles managed 2 possessions and because of the simultaneous death at the end they take 1 point for the match survivor. Crying wind also gets 1 point for the share of the match survivor.
So here is the league standings after 1 match.
