BGE DemonBall IFL Championship Match – May 12, 1999
OK sports fans, here we are once again at the beautiful old United Center in Chi-Town. The stage is set for the Championship match of the second MicroTel DemonBall Cup! This DemonBall match is being brought to you by MicroTel, Tomorrow’s information Today!
OK, the Championship match is between The Ghoulies from Gary Indiana, and another Gary team, Team HERD. The Ghoulies clinched a spot in the Championship game with their 22 point’s total, but in 2nd place Team HERD had 18 points. This has shaped up to look like a real even match folks.
So it looks like our two teams are all set, and there’s the gun.
The Ghouls come out first on our newly redesigned arena and get set. The Goatheads are spreading themselves out; most likely they are making sure they don’t get pinned by the Ghouls expert suppressor!
More positioning, both teams move closer to the ball being very cautious. The Ghoulies set themselves up in a bunch for a rush to the ball. But Snag Tooth has other plans; he leans out from his wall and blasts Freak Acknon, one down. Freak #42 sends a gout of flame Snag Tooth’s way, but old Snag starts to beat the flames out. Freak Nelson fires on the HERD and Slobber Mouth gets drilled through the chest, he returns the fire but misses as he drops. Freak #42 runs out and has the ball, first point to the Ghoulies!
Snag Tooth manages to beat the flames on his clothes out, and then sprays Freak #42 with lead, #42 fires as he goes down but misses. The ball is loose, Snag Tooth runs for it and he gets there, point to the HERD! Stinky runs up to help defend and fires from the hip, and he gets Freak Nelson with a head shot, Nelson’s gun fires wildly as he falls missing everyone. Bart also runs out to defend the ball and targets Neal N’ Bob but hits the wall. Neal N’ Bob fires back and he too misses.
Team HERD is retreating with the ball, Snag Tooth fires on Neal N’ Bob, but hits nothing but wall. Neal N’ Bob opens up on Snag Tooth taking him down in a hail of bullets. Bart and Stinky open up on Neal N’ Bob and he is riddled with holes! As he drops, that is the last of the Ghouls, which means Team HERD is the new DemonBall Cup Champion! What a match folks, the HERD suffering only one loss, and two points for possession, and eliminating all of the Ghoulies.
So much for the second Chi-Town MicroTel DemonBall season. Our next season looks to include more excitement and bloodshed, as we will have 6 teams competing for the Cup. Here is a season recap.
