Chi-Town MicroTel DemonBall Match 8 – May 5,1999

Well sports fans, here we are back at the beautiful old U T Center in Chi-Town bringing you the best in DemonBall action. This DemonBall match is being brought to you by MicroTel, Tomorrow’s information Today!

All righty, today’s match is the seventh match in the new season here in old Chi-Town. Once again the Black Rain Vengequan tribe is here with Howling Wind. The Cappalonni Family has a team, Whatsa Matta U. Then there are the two teams from the Gary Indiana Mutants; first there is The Ghoulies, and Team HERD. And last but certainly not least, we have team that has traveled all the way from Texas, representing DeadTech Systems Inc., The Bone Squad.

So teams are getting ready, so let’s rock and roll, and there’s the gun.

Everybody seems to be set, the Orgs from Whatsa Matta U are going for the ball in mass, while Howling Wind strangely seems to be holding back. Soaring Eagle pops a quick round at the Orgs and misses. Everybody else is being cautious.

The Vengequan are set and seem to be keeping watch over the HERD and Orgs. Yellow Cloud targets Slobber Mouth and nails him with a tough shot. Stinky jumps up on the wall and fires back at Yellow Cloud and misses.

Nicky the Nose runs out, Soaring Eagle shoots and misses, Nicky sprays the Vengequan in returns but also misses. Longshanks pops out and fires a gout of flame at Jimmy the Fixer, Jimmy is up in flames, he fires back and they both go down!

Stinky tries again to blast Yellow Cloud but just can’t get those dug in Vengequan, but Yellow Cloud does not miss, and Stinky is out. Nicky the Nose moves out again and gets blasted by Soaring Eagle. Vinnie Gumba sends a burst towards the freaks but misses. And now Vinnie moves into hand to hand with Skull Duggery, but can’t take the dead man down. Cartman fires at Rocco as he moves up and is blasted off his feet. Now the Vengequan are making their move, Running Bear is out and Rocco fires but misses. Squatting Wolf fires at Kilroy and takes him down, Kilroy fires back as he falls but misses.

Freak #42 runs out and fires on Snag Tooth and misses. Skull Duggery leans out and fires wildly at the Bone Squad and Vinnie Gumba, effectively pinning both down. Squatting Wolf tries to take advantage but misses.

Vinnie breaks out and makes a run for it firing at Cartman, he misses once and twice and then runs up to cut the Dead man down, but Cartman is too tough! Freak Nelson sees his opportunity and cuts Vinnie down next to Cartman. Skull Duggery jumps up on the wall and targets the HERD nailing Snag Tooth. Yellow Cloud is running for the ball, he’s got it….look out, Cartman blasts him as he passes the ball to Squatting Wolf. Yellow Cloud tries to return fire as he falls, but misses. Skull Duggery fires at Yellow Cloud as he moves out of the line of fire and gets one in the belly, he fires back as he falls, he misses and the ball is loose!

Skull Duggery moves up and targets Running Bear as he goes for the ball and is stopped short as he goes down. But Squatting Wolfs runs out, grabs the ball and fires on Skull Duggery but misses. Freak Acknon blasts the Dead and down goes Cartman. Freak #42 jumps on the wall and once again the Ghouls take down Bart, the last Goathead, so the HERD is out of the match. The question is can Howling Wind hold the ball long enough before time runs out, thereby grabbing a win and displacing the HERD for second place……………… And there’s the buzzer as time runs out! We still have more than one team standing, and Howling Wind couldn’t grab more than two points for possessions.

So, let’s recap the match folks, Howling Wind gets 2 points for possessions, and this sets the stage for our second season’s Championship match between the Ghoulies and Team HERD! See ya next week for the MicroTel Chi-Town DemonBall Cup.
