Chi-Town MicroTel DemonBall Match 3 - March 31,1999

Well sports fans, here we are back at the beautiful old U T Center in Chi-Town bringing you the best in DemonBall action. This DemonBall match is being brought to you by MicroTel, Tomorrow’s information Today!

All righty, today’s match is the third match in the new season here in old Chi-Town. Once again the Black Rain Vengequan tribe is here with Howling Wind. The Cappalonni Family has a team, Whatsa Matta U. Then there are the two teams from the Gary Indiana Mutants, first there is The Ghoulies, and Team HERD. And last but certainly not least, we have team that has traveled all the way from Texas, representing DeadTech Systems Inc., The Bone Squad.

So teams are getting ready, so let’s rock and roll , and there’s the gun.

Team HERD comes out first but they are slipping and sliding on something that the crowd has thrown into the arena! They set up short, and next the Ghoulies come out, and they are setting up facing the Orgs, this looks like trouble for Whatsa Matta U. Howling Wind comes straight out, looks like an early ball grab for the Vengequan. Now Whatsa Matta U sets up a defensive ring waiting for the Ghoulies attack. And lastly the Bone Squad comes out headed for Team HERD.

Yellow Cloud moves out within range of the Bone Squad an opens fire on Slobber Mouth of Team HERD, and the Bone Squad isn’t firing at the Vengequan. Slobber Mouth goes down with a shot in the gut. Oh boy folks, this looks like an alliance here! Now Running Bear takes a shot at Stinky, Stinky gets hit in the shoulder, but returns fire and has his shot hit the wall. That leaves two Goatheads left, and oh no.. a net has fallen over the remaining members of Team HERD! The Ghoulies move out, and Freak Acknon opens up on Rocco and misses, Nicky the nose pops off a quick one in returns but misses. Now Freak Nelson takes his shot and guns down Rocco! And now Neal N’ Bob runs out shooting and nails Nicky the Nose in the shoulder. Jimmy the Fixer pumps a round at Neal N’ Bob and hits the wall. Look out, Longshanks fires and blasts Jimmy the Fixer. And lastly here comes Freak #42, he opens up on Vinnie Gumba, he’s hit, but fires a quick burst to take Freak #42 with him! And that eliminates Whatsa Matta U!

Snag Tooth manages to cut his way out of the net, but not Bart. So Snag Tooth opens up on Freak Acknon but misses. Here comes the Bone Squad and Skull Duggery runs out and fires at Snag Tooth, who returns fire and they both go down! Everybody else is positioning themselves, it actually appears that we have a 3 way alliance between Howling Wind, the Bone Squad, and the Ghoulies. It looks like their goal was to eliminate both the Orgs and Team HERD! None of these teams are firing on each other, even though they have targets, wow!

OK, and the Bone squad is on the move, with Longshanks firing on Yellow Cloud breaking any alliance, and down he goes. Running Bear wants revenge and sprays Longshanks but doesn’t hit him. Now Kilroy fires on Running Bear and misses. Soaring Eagle targets Kilroy and his shot goes wide! Another net falls over Team HERD. The Ghoulies take advantage and Freak Acknon fires on Bart but misses. Now Neal N’ Bob tries his luck, but Bart dodges the shot. Here comes the Vengequan, Running Bear runs out and grabs the ball! Freak Nelson turns his suppression on and pins both Running Bear and Squatting Wolf! Cartman opens up on Squatting Wolf and gets him good. But Soaring Eagle fires a burst and takes Cartman out with a belly shot. Freak Acknon runs out and guns down Running Bear, the ball is now loose! Neal N’ Bob moves out and sprays Kilroy taking out down. The Bone Squad is moving, but Freak Nelson says no and takes aim but misses. Longshanks fires at Freak Nelson and misses.

Neal N’ Bob tries a shot at Bart, but that tough Goathead dodges the bullet again! Now Freak Acknon fires a blast at Bart, but it hits the wall. This Goathead is tough, he just won’t go down.

Look out, a net has fallen over the Ghoulies, their quickly trying to cut their way out. Longshanks makes a run for the ball, he’s got it and he’s trying to get away but Soaring Eagle sprays the area and misses. Meanwhile Freak Nelson has cut himself and Freak Acknon out of the net! Neal N’ Bob fires on Longshanks and takes him out, the ball is loose once again, but wait, Longshanks is on one knee, he’s raising his rifle and fires back catching Neal N’ Bob in the neck, and they both go down. The Bone Squad is now out of the match.

Soaring Eagle starts to move after the loose ball, look out, a net has fallen over him. He’s desperately trying to get out, but he just can’t seem to do it. Meanwhile the lone mutant Bart, also hasn’t gotten out of the net he’s been stuck in.

Taking advantage, Freak Acknon runs out and grabs the ball for a point. He begins to move away with Freak Nelson providing cover.

With Bart and Soaring Eagle still stuck in the net, Freak Nelson moves to fire on poor Bart, still stuck in the net. Bart’s hit, but returns the favor and drills Freak Nelson right through the shoulder, both are down which puts Team HERD out of the match. That just leaves The Ghoulies and the lone player from the Howling Wind.

Freak Acknon is on the move, he knows he can’t out run Soaring Eagle while carrying the ball. Here we go, he turns and takes a long shot at Soaring Eagle and the bullet hits the wall. Freak Acknon is diving for cover but Soaring Eagle sprays the area catching the freak in the back. Match over! The Vengequan get the sole survivor point.

So, let’s recap the match folks, Howling Wind managed to grab the ball for 2 possessions, and got the match survivor point for a total of 3 points. The Bone Squad got 1 possession for 1 point. The Ghoulies managed 3 possessions, thereby getting the win and the additional 4 points!. So here is the league standings after 3 matches.
